Speed up reporting with custom safety reports

SIMPEL has made compliance reporting even easier with the release of a custom report builder for Worker Inductions, Plant Management, SWMS/Safety Plans and Permits. Now, you can export essential data in a digital and print-friendly PDF report, together with relevant attachments sealed in a ZIP folder.

Sharing comprehensive safety reports just got easier…

Customised reports are available for SWMS, Permits, Worker and Plant Inductions. Depending on the information required, each report can be individually tailored to include/exclude the following items:

  • Time-stamped log of approvals, reviews and revisions by the project team
  • Relevant eForms e.g. Pre-submittals, induction forms, inspections and permits
  • List of worker actions e.g. sign offs or pending sign offs
  • Itemised list of supporting documentation with expiry where relevant
  • ZIP folder with supporting documentation e.g. SWMS, white cards, insurances and maintenance records (for items of plant)

Why do teams still need print ready safety reports?

While digital systems are the cornerstone of effective construction management, compliance and project reporting requirements still necessitate the need to compile, export and share specific project data quickly.

Customising safety reports for stakeholders

Improve efficiency and data security by customising reports for your audience. Whether it's for management, an auditor, or an insurance company, include only the essential details, like SWMS sign-offs, worker induction records, or permit approvals. This approach streamlines communication and safeguards sensitive data.

Ease of sharing and review for management

For decision-makers who aren’t directly involved in day-to-day software use, print and PDF format reports provide an efficient solution for reviewing and retaining key safety data.

Compliance and legal obligations

Regulatory requirements in construction often mandate retention of physical copies of critical safety information. Whether it’s a SWMS or a permit, having print ready records on hand can ensure your team is always audit ready.

Long-term record keeping & redundancy

Hard copies provide a reliable backup for safety records, complementing existing digital archives.

For long-term retention of safety documentation, e.g. 30 years for asbestos handling, saving a copy of these reports, either digital or printed, ensures you can meet these long-term obligations.

How accessible safety reports facilitate digital transformation on the worksite

While we’re firmly in the digital age, print-friendly automated reports play a crucial role in helping teams transition to new systems and workflows. Paper has long been viewed as ‘flexible’ for amending reports, but digital systems, when designed with industry-specific nuances in mind, can offer the same level of adaptability—empowering teams to confidently make changes and fully embrace the transition to digital.

Enhance confidence in digital safety systems

Receiving physical, well-organised reports generated from construction management systems builds trust in their use and reliability. It reassures teams that essential information is retained and accessible.

Supporting cultural change

Printing doesn’t just meet current needs—it helps demonstrate the benefits of digital adoption. By showcasing pixel-perfect reports created effortlessly, teams can appreciate how technology saves time while improving compliance standards.
